Trust Statement regarding Loan Notes Scheme

posted by Chris Waters on Thursday 20th of May 2010 09:53:20 AM

CPST is delighted with the rapid progress that has been made over the past few days regarding the future of CPFC. The fact that the CPFC 2010 consortium has agreed in principle to the purchase of both the club and Selhurst Park is very encouraging, although we cannot afford to be complacent while there are still many outstanding issues to be resolved – most crucially the agreement of a CVA – and we may yet need to raise money to save the club.

The Trust is in proactive and ongoing dialogue with the CPFC 2010 consortium, and is confident that we will be able to work together very closely if the takeover goes through.

We believe there is a role for the fans to play through the Trust in the further development of this club. Exactly what form that role may take given recent developments will be worked through with the consortium. To that end the Trust will not be launching the loan notes scheme until such discussions are completed.

We would like to thank everyone for the many expressions of interest in the scheme at this time, and we will of course keep everyone fully informed of developments.
