Update

Since Simon Jordan publicly stated his intention to sell the club last summer, we have been trying to see what we could do to help anyone interested in buying CPFC. During the last year we have spoken to various parties, either people we have contacted directly or who have contacted us. All contacts have been on the basis of complete confidentiality. We appreciate that it is frustrating for fans when nothing of substance is made public but we can assure Trust members that we are taking all the steps we can to help generate interest and promote the club to prospective buyers.

We have also contacted PwC, the Administrators for the Landlord (Rock Investments) of Selhurst Park. It will be recalled that we looked at the possibility of the Trust buying the freehold of Selhurst Park when the previous owners, Altonwood, decided to sell in 2006. Recently PwC has started selling off some of Rock's assets. Currently Selhurst Park is not up for sale but we have registered our interest in the event that the situation changes. If the freehold is put on the market we would look to see if a bid could be made on behalf of fans using a variety of funding methods. Our aim, as before, would be to ensure that the ground is held in trust for the club, giving CPFC security of tenure at a modest rent.
